Weddings should entirely feel a representation of you two. There’s no one way to do things ‘right’. And while it’s certainly not about following trends, the industry really is steering towards days that are truly a carefully curated experience. Trending towards days that absolutely encapsulate you and your story, rather than wedding after wedding that feels just the same. That’s going to be magic to behold and such a fun journey have.
With that in mind, take a look through the luxury wedding flower trends we’re loving the shift towards in 2023/2024.
The Luxury Wedding Flower Trends We Love
Art Pieces
Couples are striving for artful arrangements that feel unique to them. We’re embracing interesting varieties and palettes in order to achieve unique looks that perfectly represent the couple. It’s less about copying what’s been seen on Pinterest, and more about creating a day that perfectly encapsulates you, taking inspiration from people, places and things.
Tablescapes
Carefully curated tablescapes with layers of interest. Mixed arrangements styles pair with abundant candlelight, fine glassware, hand crafted stationery, and luxe linens. Simply there is no detail is left unattended to. Plenty of delicious detail for guests eyes to wander down the table and around the room.
Show-stopping installations
It’s all about the statement piece in 2023! Backdrops that frame those most precious moments, large-scale pieces that delight and amaze throughout the day. This is not limited to arches at the top of the aisle, it’s particularly about incorpating showstopping areas of the venue and adding to them with flair. A feeling of nature taking hold.
Colour
Whether it’s bright and bold or pastel hues, colour is in! Couples are really having fun with designs and using flowers to capture their personalities. Fun clashing colours and romantic tonal, ombre palettes are the ones to look out for! For the best of both, a fun consideration is a more muted classic ceremony then get the party going into a wild affair after your vows.
Naturally elegant
Relaxed yet refined. A quietly luxurious look. Flowers arranged as they grow in nature, clustered by variety and colour in statement swathes and groupings rather than all jumbled together. The en-masse approach creates incredible drama and really lets each variety sing and gives that naturalised, elegant, grown there look.
Aisle Drama
The aisle is an area not left out and forgotten by couples, a visual draw to the top of the aisle lined with abundance. Irregular setups and less traditional seating arrangements are in, from winding aisles to guests seated all around. The delights dressing the aisle create an unforgettable and extra-special entrance moment, and frame your vows.
Petite Bouquets
Dare we say the trend of big statement bouquets is behind us? We’re loving those petite bouquets, filled with the delicate and unusual blooms, and precious stems with meaning. Gorgeous posies with few varieties but more of those precious and special blooms. Think lily of the valley, oncidium orchids, sweet peas, clematis, cosmos, forget me not. A statement in the subtlety, the scent and the sentiment.
The Best of British
Embracing the beauty on our doorstep and creating arrangements that feel like the world around us. Creating scenes not just arrangements and using delights that are grown as close to us as possible. It’s less ‘I must have this specific rose’ and more ‘this is my palette, surprise me’.
Here at The Petal Emporium we are entirely about curating flowers to frame your most precious moments. Flowers that feel the embodiment of you and your story. From that first date strolling through the fields of the Cotswolds at dusk to the pub lit by candlelight, to that first holiday in Greece surrounded by rambling vines. We’re inspired by these moments to create the perfect backdrop to your celebrations.
